The largest and historically most important island of the Sporades for sure is Skopelos. The main village, called Chora, is at the same time the port of Skopelos which probably is one of the most beautiful ports of Greece.

A variety of taverns, cafés, boutiques and bars can be found here as well as facilities for important services. In the small alleys that lead upwards the hill, vacationers have the chance to study the everyday life of local inhabitants and even might find new friends.

More than 400 churches and abbeys offer XXX for culturally conversant holiday makers; recreations seekers and lovers of nature are invited to enjoy the fascinating vegetation and the range of beautiful beaches with crystal clear water. In contrast to the majority of the Aegaen islands, Skopelos is densely wooded. Pine forests, that come down to the sea and thousands of olive and fruit trees enrich this island.
