Lefkada

Lefkada (Lefkas) is one of 4 big Ionic islands linked with the mainland over a bridge and lies approx. 100 kilometres to the south of Corfu. The name of the island is derived from the Ancient Greek word for "white" and refers to the colour of the bold cliffs and mountain landscape.

Lefkas, until now, has remained valued by mass tourism.
This wonderful island is an attractive holiday resort not only for vacationers seeking rest, the sun and sea, but also for other „active“ traveller like mountain biker. Lefkas is also very attractive to culturally enthusiasts.

Wonderful wide beaches are to be found in the west, romantic beeches in the east and green mountain landscape with mountains up to 1,150-m-high inside.
